Son of British novelist, playwright, essayist and broadcaster J.B. Priestley (1894-1964). British film and sound editor in films from the early 1960s until 1990. (1973, supervising editor), THE GREAT GATSBY (1974), THE RETURN OF THE PINK PANTHER (1975), VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED (1976), EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC (1977), TESS (1979), TIMES SQUARE (1980), A SHOCKING ACCIDENT (1982), ANOTHER TIME, ANOTHER PLACE (1983), NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR and NEMO (both 1984), NANOU (1986), WHITE MISCHIEF (1987), and LORD OF THE FLIES (1990, supervising editor).
