Leonard Rosenman

Born in Brooklyn, NY. Protégé of influential avant-garde composer Arnold Schoenberg. Rosenman contributed his first film score to the 1955 release, THE COBWEB. Rosenman earned wide recognition for his work on Stanley Kubrick's opulent costume drama, BARRY LYNDON (1975).

Other notable (non-nominated) composing credits include EAST OF EDEN and REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (both 1955), HELL IS FOR HEROES (1962), FANTASTIC VOYAGE (1966), BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES and A MAN CALLED HORSE (both 1970), BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (1973), AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE and SEPTEMBER 30, 1955 (both 1978), THE JAZZ SINGER (1980), MISS LONELYHEARTS (1983), ROBOCOP 2 (1990), AMBITION (1991), THE COLOR OF EVENING (1994), MRS. MUNCK (1995), LEVITATION (1997), JURIJ (2001), and SI JE T'ATTRAPE... (2005). He works extensively in television, composing scores for TV series, mini-series and movies-of-the-week.
