Born in Hollywood, CA; educated at Santa Rosa College, CA, and San Francisco Actor's Workshop. Promising star of the mid-to-late 1960s, best known for her performances in THE GRADUATE (1967) and BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID (1969). After that, Ross's talents seem to have been squandered in mostly inferior film and TV vehicles. However, her career took an upturn after her appearances with husband Sam Elliott (married 1984). Other notable screen credits include THE STEPFORD WIVES (1975), VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED (1976), THE BETSY and THE SWARM (both 1978), THE LEGACY (1979), THE FINAL COUNTDOWN (1980), "Murder in Texas" (1981, TV), RED-HEADED STRANGER (1986), DONNIE DARKO (2001), DON'T LET GO (2004) and EYE OF THE DOLPHIN (2006).
