Sickner had a career as an actor/stuntman from 1956 to 1971, sometimes uncredited, in such films as WARLOCK (1959), THE GREAT ESCAPE and McCLINTOCK (both 1963), MAJOR DUNDEE and MORITURI (both 1965), NEVADA SMITH, THE APPALOOSA and RETURN OF THE SEVEN (all 1966), CHUKA (1967), PLANET OF THE APES (1968), THE WILD BUNCH (1969), and THE OMEGA MAN (1971). He also appeared in several TV series of the period, notably "Zane Grey Theater" (1960), "Tales of Wells Fargo" and "The Twilight Zone" (both 1962), "The Wild Wild West", "Mission: Impossible" and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (all 1966) and "Hondo" (1967).
He was credited as one of the co-writers of the story for THE WILD BUNCH (1969, also associate producer).
