John Watson

With his partner, Pen Densham, he made the Canadian documentary THOROUGHBRED (1974), and the American feature THE ZOO GANG (1985). Then he worked again in Canada, producing THE KISS (1988). A partner in Trilogy Entertainment Group, Watson produced the feature MOLL FLANDERS (1996), starring Robin Wright, Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. For television in 1995, they engineered the rebirth of the award-winning sci-fi series "The Outer Limits." With partners Richard Lewis and Pen Densham, Watson is the executive producer of "The Outer Limits," "The Magnificent Seven" and "Poltergeist: The Legacy." He recently executive-produced TNT's "Buffalo Soldiers" and the miniseries "Peter Benchley's Creature" and "The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3." Watson co-wrote the screenplay (with partner Densham) and produced the feature ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES (1991), starring Kevin Costner. He also produced LARGER THAN LIFE (1996), starring Bill Murray. The Trilogy trio produced the features BACKDRAFT (1991), with Robert DeNiro, and BLOWN AWAY (1994), with Jeff Bridges.
