Entered American television as a producer for "Peace on Borrowed Time" (1983). Other producing credits include "Being Homosexual" (1984, also writer), SOLDIERS IN HIDING (1985), "Trouble on Big Mountain" (1986, TV), BETTY BOOP'S HOLLYWOOD MYSTER (1989), "Liquid Television" (1991, TV series) and "The Wish That Changed Christmas" (1991, TV). Asher was executive producer of MTV's "Aeon Flux" (1995, TV series). He also collaborated on the writing of some episodes.
