Mark Berger

Born in San Francisco, CA. Supervising re-recording mixer in American film who began as a sound montage assistant on THE GODFATHER, PART II (1974). He was post-production sound director for ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST (1975). Since then, he has worked on over 100 feature films including KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN (1985), BLUE VELVET (1986), THE UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF BEING (1988), COMMON THREADS: STORIES FROM THE QUILT (1989), "Twin Peaks" (TV series, 1990), AT PLAY IN THE FIELDS OF THE LORD (1991), SERIAL MOM (1994), THE SCARLET LETTER (1995), FLY AWAY HOME (1996), THE APOSTLE (1997), PECKER (1998), THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY (1999), THE PLEDGE and THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS (both 2001), SWIMFAN (2002), THE SINGING DETECTIVE, THE UNITED STATES OF LELAND, EASH, THE SNOW WALKER, FINDING HOME and BAD SANTA (all 2003), DANDELION, ZAPATA - EL SUEÑO DEL HÉROE and WICKER PARK (all 2004), DUMA, CASA DE AREIA, CAPOTE, THE PRIZE WINNER OF DEFIANCE, OHIO and MUNICH (all 2005), THE DELEGATE, YOU ARE HERE, READ YOU LIKE A BOOK and ALTERED (all 2006), HAPPILY N'EVER AFTER and TOUCHING HOME (both 2007), and JOURNEY 3-D (2008). He is on the staff of the Saul Zaentz Film Center in Berkeley, CA.
