Born in the Canal Zone, Panama. Optical effects specialist in American film during the 1970s and 80s. Notable credits include STAR WARS (1977), AIRPLANE! and ALTERED STATES (both 1980), WOLFEN (1981), CAT PEOPLE, THE ESCAPE ARTIST and ZAPPED! (all 1982), JAWS 3-D and TO BE OR NOT TO BE (both 1983), THE LAST DRAGON (1985), ROBOCOP (1987), and FREEJACK (1992).
