Born in Chicago, IL. Zev Braun has been a successful and honored filmmaker for over 40 years. His 1964 production GOLDSTEIN won the Prix de la Nouvelle Critique/Cannes. In 1974, his co-production of Maxmilian Schell's THE PEDESTRIAN won the Golden Globe Award (Best Foreign Film) and an Academy Award nomination (Best Foreign Film). His production THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE, starring Jodie Foster and Martin Sheen won Best Horror Film by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. In 1986, Braun again teamed with director Schell to co-produce the award-winning MARLENE.

Braun's all-consuming interest in filmmaking led him fresh from graduate work in humanities and classic arts at the University of Chicago to enter movies while still serving as President of Braun International, his family's packaging firm. Some of Mr. Braun's other productions include: ANGELA, FREEDOM ROAD, THE FIENDISH PLOT OF DR. FU MANCHU and WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN?

Since 1987, he has worked extensively in television as a producer or executive producer. For 1987-88 TV season he produced the 2-hour movie-of-the-week, "Stillwatch"; the CBS mini-series, "Murder Ordained"; the NBC movie, "The Father Clements Story" (winner of the Christopher and CEBA awards); and the highly acclaimed prime-time series, "Tour of Duty". Other TV series include "Murphy's Law" (1988) for ABC and "Bagdad Cafe" (1990) for CBS. Recent movies for TV and cable have been: "A Seduction in Travis County" (1991), "Split Images" (1992), the critically acclaimed mini-series for CBS, "Menendez: A Killing in Beverly Hills" (1994), "919 Fifth Avenue" (1995), "Abducted: A Father's Love" (1996), "Lethal Vows" (1999), "Amber Frey: Witness for the Prosecution" (2005), and "A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story" (2006). Braun produced the US-Poland co-production of Yurek Bogayevicz's feature film EDGES OF THE LORD / BOZE SKRAWKI (2001), which starred Haley Joel Osment and Willem Davoe.
