Emory M. Cohen

President and Chief Operating Officer of LaserPacific Media Corp. Cohen has been a driving force in the post production industry and in Hollywood's acceptance of emerging technologies. In his career, he has held key executive positions at leading post production facilities. From 1963 until February of 1978, he served in many capacities at Glenn Glenn Sound (now Todd AO), including Vice President-Operations. In 1978, he joined Compact Video (now 4MC) where he became Group Vice President-Service Companies, as well as President of Compact Video Services, Inc. and of Image Transform, Inc. (both Compact Video subsidiaries.) Emory served as President and COO of Pacific Video, prior to the merger of Pacific Video with Spectra Image in 1990.

He received a Motion Picture Academy Award for inventing a system that applies electronic and videotape technology to motion picture post-production sound recording. He has been honored with Emmy Awards in connection with LaserPacific's Electronic Laboratory and SuperComputer Assembly Systems. Cohen is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the American Cinema Editor's Guild and an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
