Production designer and art director for American film and television since the mid-1950s. Other notable production designer credits include THE JERK (1979), THE LONG RIDERS (1980), THE FOUR SEASONS (1981), TEX and NIGHT SHIFT (both 1982), NATIONAL LAMPOON'S SUMMER VACATION (1983), SPLASH and IMPULSE (both 1984), COCOON (1985), CROSSROADS and STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME (both 1986), THE RUNNING MAN (1987), ALIEN NATION (1988), NEXT OF KIN (1989), FLIGHT OF THE INTRUDER (1991) and his last film, FAR AND AWAY (1992).  Nominated for Art Direction/Set Decoration 1976: THE LAST TYCOON - Art Direction (w.
