Born in Birmingham, England. Emes won a BAFTA award and was Oscar® nominated for his film GOODIE-TWO-SHOES (1983). Other credits include THE ORIENTAL NIGHTFISH (1978), THE MAGIC SHOP (1982), KNIGHTS AND EMERALDS (1986), "The Yob" (1988, TV), "Deadly Summer" (1997, TV) and several series for American television including "The Invisible Man" (2000) and "Buddy Faro" (1998). His recent work includes two episodes of "Sir Gadabout" (2002) for CITV which was BAFTA nominated and won the 2002 Indies award for Best Children's Programme and "Cavegirl" for the BBC/Two Hats .
