Prizzi's Honor (1985)
Born in Berlin, Germany; father of film editor Kaja Fehr. Entered American film as an uncredited assistant film editor in 1937. Equally adept at editing drama or comedy, his notable credits include ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT (1941), DESPERATE JOURNEY (1942), WATCH ON THE RHINE (1943), BETWEEN TWO WORLDS (1944), HUMORESQUE (1946), POSSESSED and THE VOICE OF THE TURTLE (both 1947), KEY LARGO and ROMANCE ON THE HIGH SEAS (both 1948), BEYOND THE FOREST and THE INSPECTOR GENERAL (both 1949), GOODBYE, MY FANCY (1951), I CONFESS and HOUSE OF WAX (both 1953), DIAL M FOR MURDER (1954), APOCALYPSE NOW (1979, post-production coordinator) and ONE FROM THE HEART (1982). His collection of period phonograph records provided the tunes for the background music of PAPER MOON (1973). PRIZZI'S HONOR was his last picture.
