Lyn Goldfarb is an award-winning independent documentary filmmaker who began her career as Producer and Historian for the Academy Award nominated documentary WITH BABIES AND BANNERS, showcased on television and in festivals worldwide. In 2006, she was co-Executive Producer of "California and the American Dream" series for PBS, and produced and directed one of the four documentaries in the series.

Her television credits include: co-Executive Producer/Director/Writer/Producer: "Japan: Memoirs of a Secret Empire" ( 3 hours), Devillier Donegan Enterprises and PBS; co-Executive Producer/Director/Producer, "Empires: The Roman Empire in the First Century" (4 hours), DDE and PBS; Director/Producer/Writer for "Total War" for "The Great War" series (PBS and BBC), "We Have a Plan" for "The Great Depression" series (Blackside Inc., PBS), and "Ways To Move" and "Without Barriers or Borders" for "People in Motion" series (PBS). She was Senior Producer, "Danger: Kids at Work" (Lifetime Television); Producer of A TASTE OF FREEDOM (TNT); "Searching for San Diego: San Ysidro" (PBS); "Disabled and the Cost of Saying I Do" (PBS); "From Bedside to Bargaining Table"; and "Prescription for Change" (PBS).

Goldfarb was the Executive Producer for "Business Communication: Tools for Leadership", a 12 hour distance learning course for Quisoc, and broadcast on PBS. She directed and produced FROM THE HEART (1994) as part of AFI's Directing Workshop for Women. Her awards include: Academy Award® nomination, 2 Emmy® Awards, 2 duPont-Columbia Awards, Peabody, Producers Guild of America Kodak Vision Award, IDA Distinguished Documentary Award and a Golden Mike. She served three terms on the IDA Board of Directors and is a member of the DGA and WGA/w.
