Michael Gore

Brother of singer-songwriter Lesley Gore. Composer and songwriter who entered American film in 1980 by scoring FAME. Other scoring credits include TERMS OF ENDEARMENT (1983), PRETTY IN PINK (1986), BRODCAST NEWS (1987 - uncredited), "Generations" (1989, TV series), DON'T TELL HER IT'S ME (1990), DEFENDING YOUR LIFE and THE BUTCHER'S WIFE (both 1991), MR. WONDERFUL (1993, theme song "Still It's You") and SUPERSTAR (1999, song "You Wanna Be a Star"). He was executive producer and produced the music for Glenn Close's 2001 ABC-TV production of "South Pacific."
