Larry Hankin
(1940 -     )

Born in New York City. Studied acting at Syracuse University (NY) in the same class with Frank Langella and Carl Gottlieb. He was a member of the comedy improvisation groups Second City (Chicago) and The Committee (San Francisco).

Entered American film as an actor in 1967. In addition to his many appearances on television, Hankin's notable screen acting credits include AMERICAN HOT WAX (1978), ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ (1979), ANNIE (1982), THE STING II (1983), THE SURE THING (1985), RUNNING SCARED, ARMED AND DANGEROUS and RATBOY (all 1986), AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON, FATAL BEAUTY and PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES (all 1987), SHE'S HAVING A BABY and NIGHTFALL (both 1988), PRETTY WOMAN, DEATH WARRANT and HOME ALONE (1990), THE SHADOW and IT'S PAT (1994), BILLY MADISON (1995), VEGAS VACATION and MONEY TALKS (both 1997), THE INDEPENDENT (2000), NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING! (2003), THE WAGER (2004), INDEPENDENCE, MY SILENT SADNESS, NOBEL SON and THE ALPHABET KILLER (all 2007), and BUZZKILL (2008).
