Jonathan Hardy

Born in Wellington, New Zealand. Actor and writer who entered Australian film appearing in Bruce Beresford's THE ADVENTURES OF BARON McKENZIE (1972). Other acting credits include THE DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND (1976), THE MANGO TREE (1977), MAD MAX (1979), THE SCARECROW and LONELY HEARTS (both 1982), CONSTANCE (1984), WILLIS & BURKE and DEATH WARMED UP (both 1985), MESMERIZED (1986), THE DELINQUENTS and BLOODMOON (both 1989), TUNNEL VISION (1995), MR. RELIABLE and DOWN RUST DOWN (both 1996), CAMPING WITH CAMUS (2000), MOULIN ROUGE! (2001), NED KELLY (2003) and SEVERANCE (2006). He also appears frequently on television, in both series and made-for-TV movies.

As a writer, Hardy is credited (alone or in collaboration) with 'BREAKER' MORANT (1980), CONSTANCE (1984) and BACKSTAGE (1988, also director).
