Lawrence R. Hott
Sometimes credited as Larry Hott

Documentary filmmaker who entered American film in the 1970s. Along with Ken Burns, Roger Sherman and Buddy Squires, he was a founder of Florentine Films in 1976. He and his partner Diane Garey now operate Hott Productions, Inc. Other notable (non-nominated) credits include THE WILDERNESS IDEA: PART I - THE BATTLE FOR WILDERNESS (1989), DIVIDED HIGHWAYS: THE INTERSTATES AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF AMERICAN LIFE (Emmy® and Peabody Awards) and JOHN MUIR: EARTH, PLANET, UNIVERSE (both 1997), THE BOYHOOD OF JOHN MUIR (1998), IMAGINING ROBERT: MY BROTHER, MADNESS AND SURVIVAL (2002), and TV productions of "The Harriman Alaska Expedition Retraced" (2003) and "Through Deaf Eyes" (2007).
