Midnight Express (1978)

Born in London, England. In British films, in various capacities since 1952, he became associated in the 70s with director Alan Parker and served as producer on that director's films in the 1970s and 80s: FOOTSTEPS (1974), BUGSY MALONE (1976), MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (1978), FAME (1980), PINK FLOYD THE WALL and SHOOT THE MOON (both 1982), BIRDY (1984) and ANGEL HEART (1987). Other producing credits include ANOTHER COUNTRY (1984), HOMEBOY (1988), JACOB'S LADDER (1990), BASIC INSTINCT (1992), CLIFFHANGER (1993), SHOWGIRLS (1995), STARSHIP TROOPERS (1997), HOLLOW MAN (2000), and AZAZEL (scheduled for 2009).  Nominated for Best Picture 1978: MIDNIGHT EXPRESS - Producer at Casablanca-Filmworks (w.
