Costume designer and production designer who entered American film as a women's costumer for RIO LOBO (1970). She has worked on several David Lynch projects: THE ELEPHANT MAN (1980), BLUE VELVET (1986), THE COWBOY AND THE FRENCHMAN (1989), "Twin Peaks" (1990, TV series and made-for-TV movie), WILD AT HEART (1990), TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME (1992), "Hotel Room" (1993 TV series), LOST HIGHWAY (1997) and THE STRAIGHT STORY (1999).
