Born in Newark, NJ. Italian-American character player, best known as Jake La Motta's long-suffering brother in RAGING BULL (1980). Pesci again appeared opposite Robert De Niro in ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA (1984) and GOODFELLAS (1990), winning an Oscar® for Best Supporting Actor in the latter film for his brutal portrayal of volatile Mafia hitman Tommy DeVito. He also played the evil druglord, "Mr. Big," in Michael Jackson's hugely successful "Moonwalker" music video and gave one of his most engaging performances in the title role of the hit comedy MY COUSIN VINNY (1992). He also was a regular in the LETHAL WEAPON series, starting with LETHAL WEAPON 2 (1989).
After making his screen debut as an uncredited dancer at the Peppermint Club in 1961's HEY, LET'S TWIST!, some of Pesci's other notable credits include I'M DANCING AS FAST AS I CAN and DEAR MR.
