Bob Rogers is the founder and chairman of BRC Imagination Arts, a creative team that is, according to Time Magazine "a leader in the field" of museum makeovers. Newsweek has called him the "industry's resident futurist." Together with BRC, Rogers has been reinventing museums for the 21st Century. BRC's Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum is shattering attendance expectations, fast becoming one of the most studied new museum projects in the world. BRC's style combines a passion for showmanship with a respect for scholarship, together with thoughtful, meaningful communication, mixed with a ton of fun and technical dazzle.
Master storyteller, inventor, writer and more, Rogers mentors a young and talented creative team as they serve clients both large and small: NASA, Disney, General Motors, the Empire State Building, and the Texas State History Museum, etc. In 2007, Rogers received The Thea Award for Lifetime Achievement, this industry's highest honor. Since its inception in 1981, BRC has been honored with over 250 international awards for creative excellence, including two Academy Award® nominations and 11 Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement in themed entertainment. NASA invited him to help develop its master plan for the exploration of Mars. Rogers was later awarded the NASA Public Service Medal. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Short Films and Animation Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the Oscars®), a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), and a current Board Member of the Ryman Arts Foundation, providing scholarships for young artists. His writing, producing and directing credits include CLOSET CASES OF THE NERD KIND (1980), IMPRESSIONS DE FRANCE and BALLET ROBOTIQUE (both 1982), RAINBOW WAR (1985) and WORLD SONG (1992).
