The Right Stuff (1983)
Editor for film and television who entered American film in 1953 with Ida Lupino's THE HITCH-HIKER. Stewart edited extensively for television, including series and made-for-TV movies. Other notable credits include EIGHTEEN AND ANXIOUS (1957), GIRL IN THE WOODS (1958), "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" (1962-65, TV series - 23 episodes), NIGHTMARE IN THE SUN (1965), GAMES (1967), CHANGE OF HABIT (1969), THE GREAT NORTHFIELD MINNESOTA RAID (1972), THE WHITE DAWN (1974), "Rich Man, Poor Man" (TV mini-series), THE SHOOTIST (both 1976), TELEFON (1977), INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1978), WALK PROUD (1979), ROUGH CUT (1980) and FAST-WALKING and JINXED! (both 1982). THE RIGHT STUFF (1983) was his last film.
