Emi Wada

Born Emiko Noguchi in Kyoto, Japan; married Japanese television producer Ben Wada in 1957. Costume designer who began in Japanese film in 1973 with the US/Japan co-production MARCO. Some of her other notable credits include YUME / AKIRA KUROSAWA'S DREAMS (1990), PROSPERO'S BOOKS (1991 - Prospero's cloak), THE PILLOW BOOK (1996, costume designer & prod. designer - Japan), THE SOONG SISTERS (1997), 8½ WOMEN (also prod. designer) and GOHATTO / TABOO (both 1999), YING XIONG / HERO (2003), SHI MIAN MAI FU / HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS (2004), WU QUINGYUAN / THE GO MASTER (also prod. designer) and JUNGCHEON / THE RESTLESS (both 2006), and FLYING GUILLOTINE (scheduled for release in 2008).
