Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Sound and sound effects editor who entered American film in 1961 as sound editor for Jack Webb's THE LAST TIME I SAW ARCHIE. He worked in television on the series "Honey West" and "I Spy" (1965-67) and returned to features with John Sturges' HOUR OF THE GUN (1967). Other notable sound effects credits include THE HAWAIIANS and LITTLE BIG MAN (both 1970), KOTCH and HAROLD AND MAUDE (both 1971), AVANTI! (1972), PAPER MOON and JOHNATHAN LIVINGSTON SEAGULL (both 1973), MR. MAJESTYK (1974), SHAMPOO (1975), TAXI DRIVER, MURDER BY DEATH and BOUND FOR GLORY (all 1976), CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND (1977), COMING HOME and GOIN' SOUTH (both 1978), ROCKY II and BEING THERE (both 1979), RAGING BULL (1980), SECOND-HAND HEARTS (1981) and ROCKY III (1982).

After 1980 Warner worked primarily as supervising sound editor on such films as TRUE CONFESSIONS (1981), BARBAROSA (1982), THE KING OF COMEDY (1983), BEST DEFENSE and FALLING IN LOVE (both 1984), ST. ELMO'S FIRE (1985), OFF BEAT (1986), ROXANNE (1987), and ARTHUR 2: ON THE ROCKS, HOT TO TROT and his last film, EVERYBODY'S ALL-AMERICAN (all 1988).
