James E. Webb
Sometimes credited as Jim Webb or James Webb

Graduated from USC School of Cinema-Television (1982). Production sound recordist and mixer who entered American film as a documentary sound recordist for MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN (1971). He was sound supervisor for 1972's ELVIS ON TOUR, and he supervised the sound editing for the 1973 documentary LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.

Moving to feature films in 1974, Webb mixed the sound for CALIFORNIA SPLIT. Other notable sound credits include NASHVILLE (1975), ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN, BUFFALO BILL AND THE INDIANS, OR SITTING BULL'S HISTORY LESSON and WELCOME TO L.A. (all 1976), THE LATE SHOW and 3 WOMEN (both 1977), STRAIGHT TIME, A WEDDING and MOVIE MOVIE (all 1978), THE ONION FIELD and THE ROSE (both 1979), THE LONG RIDERS (1980), ONE FROM THE HEART, CAT PEOPLE and HAMMETT (all 1982), THE OUTSIDERS and FLASHDANCE (both 1983), COUNTRY (1984), BREWSTER'S MILLIONS (1985), DOWN AND OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS (1986), THE ROSARY MURDERS (1987), THE MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR, COLORS, CHILD'S PLAY and BEACHES (all 1988), TURNER & HOOCH (1989), PRETTY WOMAN (1990), FOR THE BOYS and L.A.
