The Natural (1984)

Born David Bruce Weintraub in New York City. Set decorator and production designer who enjoyed a brief but notable career in American film, beginning as a production assistant on THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975). Other set decorating credits include THE WILD PARTY (also 1975), HARDCORE and THE ROSE (both 1979), RESURRECTION (1980), BLOW OUT and HONKY TONK FREEWAY (both 1981), CAT PEOPLE (1982), SCARFACE (1983), THE NATURAL (1984), PRIZZI'S HONOR and THE SLUGGER'S WIFE (both 1985) and PRETTY IN PINK (released in 1986 and dedicated to him and murdered actress Alex Kenin). Weintraub acted as production designer for CRUISING (1980) and SUMMER LOVERS (1982).  Nominated for Art Direction/Set Decoration 1984: THE NATURAL - Set Decoration 1 nomination
