Documentary filmmaker whose first recorded credit, FIRST EDITION (1977), was nominated for an Oscar®. Her second film was AMERICAN INQUISITION (1982). Other credits are all for television: "A Town's Revenge" (1989), "Everyday Heroes" (1990), "First Love, Fatal Love" (1991), "Richard Avedon: Darkness and Light" and "The Choice '96" (both 1996) and "The Millennial Pope: John Paul II" (1999), for which she received the Writers Guild of America (East) Award for Documentary Current Events in 2001. She wrote, produced and directed the two-part series "The Mormons" on PBS's "The American Experience" (2007).
