Joseph Wishy
(1934 - 1993)

Ballet producer whose film A PORTRAIT OF GISELLE (1982) featured performances and interviews with the eight great 20th Century ballerinas to dance the classic role of "Giselle."

He was associate producer of the musical A Time for Singing on Broadway in 1966.

Wishy died in New York City in 1993 from amoebic dysentery. He produced another of his conceptions, "The Great Hamlets," which was released after his death (1996).
