American screenwriter and director who entered American film with STACY'S KNIGHTS (1982, a.k.a. "Double Down"), which starred Kevin Costner. Blake directed LAUGHING HORSE (1986). After staying with Viggo Mortensen and Exene Cervenka, he wrote DANCES WITH WOLVES (1990) as a wedding present for them.
