Robert F. Colesberry
(1946 - 2004)

Born in Philadelphia, PA; graduate of New York University Film School. Producer and unit production manager who entered American film as an assistant production coordinator for THE WIZ (1978). Other notable producing credits include KING OF COMEDY and BABY, IT'S YOU (both 1983, both assoc. producer), RECKLESS, THE NATURAL and FALLING IN LOVE (all 1984, all assoc. producer), AFTER HOURS (1985, assoc. producer), HOUSEKEEPING (1987), THE HOUSE ON CARROLL STREET (1988), COME SEE THE PARADISE (1990), BILLY BATHGATE (1991), BEING HUMAN (1993), THE ROAD TO WELLVILLE (1994), THE SCARLET LETTER (1995, co-producer), THE DEVIL'S OWN and LONG TIME SINCE (exec. producer) (both 1997), RIDE WITH THE DEVIL (1999), PEROXIDE PASSION (2000, exec. producer), "61*" (2001, TV - 2 Emmy® nominations, including Best Picture), K-PAX (also 2001), and "The Wire" (2002-04, TV series - exec. producer). In 2002, Colesberry won an Emmy for Best Mini-Series, "The Corner." The HBO series was also honored with the prestigious Peabody Award.
