Born in Singen, Germany. German filmmaker whose other credits include DÄDALUS (1991), NACH SAISON / OFF SEASON (1997), PLAYBOYS (1998), HEIMSPIEL (2000), SEMANA SANTA / ANGEL OF DEATH (2002), C(R)OOK and HÖLLENTOUR / HELL ON WHEELS (both 2004), and AM LIMIT / TO THE LIMIT (2007). After travelling around Asia for six months, Danquart studied communication studies at the University of Freiburg from 1975 to 1981. He worked as a lecturer at the German Academy of Film and Television (dffb) in Berlin from 1983 to 1987.
