Born in Los Angeles, CA; attended Kenyon College in Gabler, OH. Once collaborated on a film -- set in Japan -- with Milos Forman, only to have the studio cancel the film on the day before production started.
Davidson received an Academy Award® for his first short film, THE LUNCH DATE (1989). After working as an actor and 2nd unit director in the 1990's, he began directing for television. Other notable credits include episodes of TV's "Law & Order" (1998), "The Invisible Man" (2000), "The Chronicle" (2001), "Monk" (2002), "Grey's Anatomy" (2004), "Criminal Minds" (2006) and "Shark" (2007, also supervising producer). His first feature directing credit is the independent WAY PAST COOL (2000). Other films include the short THE MONSTER (2001) and the documentary FOR NORMAN... WHEREVER YOU ARE (2005).
