Willy DeVille

Born William Boray in New York City. Singer/songwriter who led the band Mink DeVille from the mid-1970s to the mid-80s. He was the singer and main composer for the group. Moved to New Orleans in 1989. While still recording and touring (espescially in Europe) as a solo artist, he took up breeding horses there. He released several solo albums, starting with "Miracle" (produced by David Knopfler) in 1987.

His other credits include music for BODY & SOUL (1988), "Bauernschach" (1994, TV) and "Der Schattenmann" (1996, TV mini-series).
