Visual effects supervisor at ILM who began as a model maker for STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE (1979). He continued in the model department -- sometimes uncredited -- for such features as ONE FROM THE HEART, STAR TREK: THE WRATH OF KHAN and BLADE RUNNER (all 1982), STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983), INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM (1984), and progressed to chief model maker and model shop supervisor for THE GOONIES and EXPLORERS (both 1985), HOWARD THE DUCK (1986), INNERSPACE (1987), GHOSTBUSTERS II (1989) and JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO (1990). His visual effects credits include CADDYSHACK II (1988), THE 'BURBS and ALWAYS (both 1989), STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY (1991), ALIVE (1993), STAR TREK: GENERATIONS (1994), DEEP IMPACT (1998), STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE and GALAXY QUEST (both 1999), PLANET OF THE APES (2001), HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS and the special restored 20th anniversary version of E.T.: THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL (both 2002), STUCK ON YOU (2003) and HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN (2004), and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST (2006).
