Photo: Frazer Harrison / Getty Images Assistant director, unit production manager and producer who entered American film as a trainee a.d. for THE TOWERING INFERNO (1974). He worked first as a 2nd assistant director, then as 1st assistant director on over 20 features from 1977 to 1993.

Becoming a producer in 1984, Grillo's credits include THE WOMAN IN RED (1984, co-assoc. producer), SILVERADO (1985, exec. producer), I LOVE YOU TO DEATH (1990, exec. producer), DEFENDING YOUR LIFE and GRAND CANYON (both 1991), WYATT EARP (1994, exec. producer), THE TRIGGER EFFECT (1996) and THE PEACEMAKER (1997, exec. producer).

As head of feature production at DreamWorks SKG from 2002 to 2004, Grillo was responsible for ROAD TO PERDITION, THE RING and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (all 2002), and THE TERMINAL and WAKE UP, RON BURGUNDY: THE LOST MOVIE (Video) (both 2004).
