David Haugland

An internationally-recognized and award-winning filmmaker whose work includes two Academy-Award-nominated documentary feature films, one of which is the 1993 feature CHANGING OUR MINDS: THE STORY OF DR. EVELYN HOOKER. Haugland wrote, directed, and produced the recent CBS Special "Life Remembers" starring Anthony Edwards; and hosted a one-hour special for Australian Broadcasting featuring directors Scott Hicks and Michael Apted.

He is a member of the Directors Guild of America, and he served as President of the International Documentary Association where he developed new partnerships in North America.

Haugland's first recorded credit is as production manager for FROM MAO TO MOZART: ISAAC STERN IN CHINA (1980). Other producing credits include "The Portrait" (1993, TV - co-producer) and WORLD AND TIME ENOUGH (1995, co-producer). In 2001, he directed THE OSCAR LEGACY.
