Kimball began at Disney as a computer systems and software developer for TRON (1982). Other feature credits in digital production systems and technology support include THE RESCUERS DOWN UNDER (1990), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (1991), TRAIL MIX-UP (1993), THE LION KING (1994), POCAHONTAS (1995), THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (1996), HERCULES (1997), FANTASIA/2000 (1999), DINOSAUR (2000), and ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE (2001).

Since 2003, He has been involved in the work of the Digital Cinema Initiatives consortium of seven major Hollywood studios. Kimball currently works as Director of Digital Production for The Walt Disney Company.
