Costume designer who entered American film as a wardrobe supervisor for SILENT RAGE (1982). Other notable credits include TENDER MERCIES (1983, costumer), TRUE STORIES (1986), SQUARE DANCE (1987), TAPEHEADS and THE APPOINTMENTS OF DENNIS JENNINGS (both 1988), DRIVING MISS DAISY (1989), THELMA & LOUISE, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES and LOVE HURTS (all 1991), MADE IN AMERICA and FLESH AND BONE (both 1993), CHINA MOON and THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (both 1994), ASSASSINS (1995) and her last film, MICHAEL (1996).
