Barry Morrow

A young Gary Morrow with his ward, Bill Sackter Barry Morrow is partnered with producer Richard Heus. Their company, Morrow-Heus Productions, is currently located on the Sony (TriStar/Columbia) lot. Highlighted by winning an Emmy® for writing the story about his own life, entitled "Bill" (1981), and then an Academy Award® for writing RAIN MAN (1988), Morrow has enjoyed a successful career as a writer and more recently, as a producer. A member of the Association of Retarded Citizens, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Austism Society of America, Morrow is a lifelong advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities.

Other notable writing credits include "Bill: On His Own" (1983, TV), "A Conspiracy of Love" (1987, TV), "Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedermeyer Story" (1988, TV), "The Karen Carpenter Story" (1989, TV), "Christmas on Division Street" (1991, TV), GOSPA (1995), RACE THE SUN (1996) and MILOST MORA (aka MERCY OF THE SEA, 2002).
