Anna Paquin

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her family moved to New Zealand when she was four. Her screen debut as Holly Hunter's daughter in THE PIANO (1993) garnered her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar®, making her the second-youngest person to ever win a competitive Award. Other screen credits include JANE EYRE and FLY AWAY HOME (both 1996), AMISTAD (1997), HURLYBURLY (1998), A WALK ON THE MOON, SHE'S ALL THAT and ALL THE RAGE (all 1999), X-MEN, ALMOST FAMOUS and FINDING FORRESTER (all 2000), BUFFALO SOLDIES (2001), DARKNESS and 25TH HOUR (both 2002) and X2 (2003). In 2003, she returned to continue her studies at Columbia University in New York City.

Subsequent credits include THE SQUID AND THE WHALE (2005), X-MEN: THE LAST STAND (2006), BLUE SLATE, "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" (TV) and episodes of the TV series "True Blood" (all 2007), and MARGARET and TRICK 'R TREAT (both scheduled for 2008).
