Kirk Simon

American documentary filmmaker whose credits include ISAAC IN AMERICA; A JOURNEY WITH ISAAC BASHEVIS SINGER (1986), CHIMPS: SO LIKE US (1990), and REHEARSING A DREAM (2006), all of which were nominated for Academy Awards®. Simon's work for television includes "The Cafeteria" (1984), "Buckminster Fuller: Thinking Out Loud" (1996), "Heart of a Child" and "The Telephone" ("American Experience") (both 1997), "Kindergarten" (2001, mini-series), "National Geographic: The Incredible Human Body" (2002), "Smashed: Toxic Tales of Teens and Alcohol" (2004), and "Coming Out Stories" (2 episodes, both 2006).
