Born in Los Angeles; son of musician Murray Wald (b. 1922), who was a saxophonist in Glenn Miller's Army Air Force band in World War II. Production sound mixer who entered American film as a sound recordist for DRIVE-IN (1976). Other notable credits include LONE WOLF McQUADE (1983), FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR (1986), PROBLEM CHILD (1990), ENCINO MAN (1992, uncredited), CURSE OF THE STARVING CLASS (1994), THE BIG GREEN (1995) and THE GLIMMER MAN (1996). Since 1996, he has worked extensively in television ("Maybe It's Me", "She Spies" and "7th Heaven"). He runs a movie industry web site called CrewMarket.com and operates a private studio that does voice recording and publicity shots for actors.
