Sound editor who began in American television as an apprentie picture editor for "Death of a Salesman" (1985). In 1986, he produced his documentary SAM, which was nominated for an Academy Award. And in 1987, he was assistant editor for TOUGH GUYS DON'T DANCE. His notable sound editing credits include ROOMMATES and THE TIE THAT BINDS (both 1995, both 1st ass't.), TIN CUP (1996), BATMAN & ROBIN (1997, sfx editor), ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE and PLEASANTVILLE (both 1998, both dialogue editor), 8MM and THREE KINGS (both sfx editor) and BLUE RIDGE FALL (supervising sound editor) (all 1999), NURSE BETTY, SCARY MOVIE, BRING IT ON and BEDAZZLED (all 2000, all sfx editor) and QUEEN OF THE DAMNED and VAN WILDER (both 2002, both sfx editor).
After directing SAM (1986), Weisblatt went on to direct another documentary, BETWEEN TWO WORLDS (2004), and the dramatic short film WAR CRY (2007).
