Production executive who entered British film as a production manager for A PRIVATE FUNCTION (1984). She was also production manager for THE GOOD FATHER (1985), A ROOM WITH A VIEW (1986) and PRICK UP YOUR EARS (1987). She has served as associate producer, co-producer or producer for TREE OF HANDS (1989), HOWARDS END (1992), THE TRIAL and THE HAWK (both 1993), MUTTERS COURAGE (1995), THE PORTRAIT OF A LADY (1996), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (1999) and "My House in Umbria" (2003, TV: Emmy® nomination & PGA Award). She executive produced three eleven-minute shorts for Channel Four Television/British Screen including "Kitchen Child," "The Hangover" and "Work Experience," which won the Oscar® for Best Short Film in 1990.
Wingate has consulted on several feature films for the BBC including Franz Kafka's "The Trial" (1993), adapted for the screen by Harold Pinter, directed by David Jones and starring Kyle MacLachlan. Her more recent television productions include "Judas" and "Perfect Strangers" (both 2004), "The English Harem" (2005), "Primo" (2007), and "Churchill at War" (2008).
