John Wright

Film editor who entered American film as an assistant editor for THE BAD NEWS BEARS (1976). Other notable full editor credits include CONVOY (1978), ONLY WHEN I LAUGH (1981), FRANCES (1982), MASS APPEAL (1984), THE RUNNING MAN (1987), SEA OF LOVE (1989, co-editor), NECESSARY ROUGHNESS (1991), LAST ACTION HERO (1993), DIE HARD: WITH A VENGEANCE (1995), BROKEN ARROW (1996), DEEP RISING (1998), THE 13TH WARRIOR and THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR (both 1999), X-MEN (2000), ROLLERBALL (2002), THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST (2004), GLORY ROAD and APOCALYPTO (both 2006), and THE INCREDIBLE HULK (slated for 2008 release).

Wright has also won much acclaim for his television editing. He won an Emmy® Award for outstanding editing on the telefilm "Sarah, Plain and Tall" (1991). His other television credits include "My Name is Bill W." (1989), "Double Switch" (1987), "Heartsounds" (1984), "Crisis at Central High" (1981), "The Women's Room" (1980), "The Family Man" and the miniseries "Blind Ambition" (both 1979).
