Born in Los Angeles, CA. Producer, director, and cameraman for his production company, Braverman Productions in Santa Monica, CA. He is well known for his fast cut "kinestasis" montage films. He has also directed several television movies ("Prince of Bel Air," "Final Shot: The Hank Gathers Story" et al.) and many episodic shows ("St. Elsewhere," "Northern Exposure," "Melrose Place," et al.). He won two Emmys® for documentaries, and in 2000 "High School Boot Camp" (2000, TV) took the top Feature Documentary award from the Directors Guild of America. CURTAIN CALL (2000) was nominated for an Academy Award®. Braverman was nominated again by the DGA for both ROCKY AND ROLANDA (2001) and BOTTOM OF THE NINTH (2002).
