Her documentary SPEAKING IN STRINGS (1999) explores the genius and torment of violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. In 2004, di Florio produced and directed HOME OF THE BRAVE, a documentary on the civil rights activist Viola Liuzzo, who was murdered in 1965 as she campaigned for black suffrage in Selma, AL and the effect of that murder on her family.
