Educated at the University of California-Santa Barbara (Film Studies). Brother-in-law of director Phil Joanou, who directed Frank's teleplay "Dead End for Delia" installment of Showtime's television noir anthology, "Fallen Angels" (1993). Frank also wrote the screenplay for Joanou's 1996 feature, HEAVEN'S PRISONERS (1996). Other notable credits include "The Wonder Years" (1988, TV series), PLAIN CLOTHES (also 1988), DEAD AGAIN, LITTLE MAN TATE and THE WALTER EGO (all 1991), MALICE (1993), GET SHORTY (1995), OUT OF SIGHT (1998), MINORITY REPORT (2002), FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX (2004), THE INTERPRETER (2005), THE LOOKOUT (2007), and MARLEY & ME (scheduled for release in 2008).
