Mike Hill

Born in Omaha, NE. Film editor who entered American film as an apprentice editor on BOUND FOR GLORY (1976). Other notable editing credits (usually with co-editor, Dan Hanley) inlcude NIGHT SHIFT (1982), SPLASH (1984), COCOON (1985), GUNG HO and ARMED AND DANGEROUS (both 1986), WILLOW (1988), PET SEMATARY (1989), PROBLEM CHILD (1990), BACKDRAFT (1991), FAR AND AWAY (1992), WHAT'S LOVE GO TO DO WITH IT (1993, add'l editor), THE PAPER (1994), APOLLO 13 (1995), RANSOM (1996), EDTV (1999), DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (2000), A BEAUTIFUL MIND (2001), FULL RIDE (2002), THE MISSING (2003), CINDERELLA MAN (2005), THE DA VINCI CODE (2006), FROST/NIXON (2008), and ANGELS & DEMONS (scheduled for release in 2009). Hill was co-producer of Ken Burns' mini-series "The Civil War" (1990), and he was a coordinating producer of Burns' PBS mini-series "Baseball" (1994).
